At Phuc Son Pagoda (Tan Yen, Bac Giang), many people were waiting for the ceremony to welcome the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India.
The ceremony of offering Buddha's relics took place with the deep, resounding sound of bells mixed with the chanting of monks and Buddhists from all over.
Venerable Thich Thanh Anh - abbot of Phuc Son Pagoda - said that being able to welcome and worship the relics is a great blessing not only for Buddhists but for all people.
This is an opportunity for everyone to sow good karma, practice spirituality, and move towards the path of goodness and enlightenment.
According to the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, Phuc Son Pagoda is located on Phuong Hoang mountain. According to some recorded documents, this relic was built in 1680 - Le Trung Hung period (16th century), about 350 years old.
In 2021, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha presided over the project to renovate and embellish Phuc Son Pagoda, including items such as the main gate, the main shrine, the ancestral house, the guest house, the monk's house, the lecture hall, the Buddha tower, the four graces house...
