The Hydro-Meteorological Agency forecasts that from May 23 to May 24, in the Viet Bac, Northeast and Northern Delta regions, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 60-130mm, locally over 220mm.

From May 23 to the morning of May 24, in the Northwest region, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-70mm, locally over 150mm.

On May 23, in the North Central region, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, some places over 50mm. From the evening of May 23 to the night of May 24, in the North Central region, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with rainfall from 40-100mm, some places over 180mm.

Warning of risk of heavy localized rain (>120mm/3h).

In addition, in the afternoon and evening of May 23, in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 70mm; the area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

Warning: From the night of May 24, heavy rain in the Northern region tends to decrease. From May 25, heavy rain in the North Central region will gradually decrease.
