The exhibition is organized by the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 52nd anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. This is the first time an exhibition about Uncle Ho has been organized at a World Exhibition.
In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at World Expo 2025 Tran Nhat Hoang affirmed: “President Ho Chi Minh's entire life is a living testament to his dedication to work and his aspiration to contribute to the country and humanity for a better world - values that are completely in tune with the theme and spirit of World Expo 2025”.
According to Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, the exhibition includes valuable documents and images, truly and vividly reflecting the life, career, thoughts and feelings of President Ho Chi Minh - a great leader but extremely close and simple. Through that, the Japanese and international people can feel more deeply about his personality, thoughts and feelings towards the people of the world in general and Japan in particular.
The exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of Peace and Friendship” runs until May 25, introducing to visitors films about diplomacy under the Ho Chi Minh era; documents and images about the 30-year journey of Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Ai Quoc to find a way to save the country; President Ho Chi Minh's legacies at the Presidential Palace...
After World Expo 2025, the exhibition about President Ho Chi Minh will continue to take place in Fukuoka city, Japan, on May 28 and 29.
