On the morning of May 23, the Vietnam Farmers' Union held the Launching Ceremony of the 3rd National Press Award on "Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam" in 2025.
This year's press award has the theme "Breakthrough in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo ," focusing on a number of contents: Enhancing the role, position, and capacity to master, comprehensively improving the material and spiritual life of farmers and rural residents; developing effective and sustainable agriculture in an ecological direction, applying advanced science and technology, improving quality and added value; strongly developing industry and services, shifting economic structure, creating on-site jobs for rural workers; building rural areas in a modern direction associated with urbanization.
The Organizing Committee will receive entries and works from two sources: Written press works submitted for publication in Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper (from the time of launching the contest, May 2025 to November 2025) and press works, including printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, television, and radio published in national press agencies (from June 2024 to November 15, 2025).

The award structure of the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2025 includes 32 awards, worth 410 million VND.
The awards for print and electronic newspapers include 1 A prize, worth 50,000,000 VND; 2 B prizes, worth 25,000,000 VND/prize; 3 C prizes, worth 15,000,000 VND/prize; 5 consolation prizes, worth 7,000,000 VND/prize.
The awards for the television and radio categories include 1 A prize, worth 50,000,000 VND; 2 B prizes, worth 25,000,000 VND/prize; 3 C prizes, worth 15,000,000 VND/prize; 5 consolation prizes, worth 7,000,000 VND/prize. In addition, there are 10 thematic prizes, each worth 5,000,000 VND.
Ms. Bui Thi Thom, Vice President of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Head of the Steering Committee of the award, said that up to now, the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam has entered its third year of organization, with many successes, truly becoming a forum and professional playground for journalists and writers passionate about agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
"Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the fields of agriculture and rural areas and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development are new and very important Resolutions that directly impact agricultural development and farmers. Therefore, we expect that the 3rd National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2025 will continue to receive many outstanding works on current issues of agriculture, farmers and rural areas," Ms. Bui Thi Thom emphasized.
Also on this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union chaired and assigned the Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet Electronic to launch the "Writing contest to learn about the tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Union 95 years of establishment and growth (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2025)" with a total prize value of 105 million VND.
The Organizing Committee also launched the 4th Hanoi Memories writing contest in 2025. The contest is organized by Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper/Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper in coordination with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports./.
