Tuan Dao Commune Police (Lac Son) propagates legal policies and encourages people who have completed their prison sentences to strive to reintegrate into the community.
Major Bui Van Khuong, Chief of Tuan Dao Commune Police, said: In recent years, there have been serious cases of law violations in the commune that required criminal prosecution. Many cases were brought to trial and punished by the People's Courts at all levels. After the CHXAPT, many people returned to their localities to reintegrate into the community. Thanks to the good work of reintegrating people into the community after the CHXAPT, many people have made efforts and made progress.
Among the 15 CHXAPT people who returned to their localities to live and reintegrate into the community, there were 5 cases of crimes related to illegal drug trading, possession, transportation and use, 2 cases of robbery, 4 cases of theft, and 4 cases of intentional injury. In the cases of law violations that had to be prosecuted and tried, many cases had bad personal records, had violated the law many times and were administratively or criminally punished by local authorities. According to Major Bui Van Khuong, after CHXAPT people returned to their localities to live and reintegrate into the community, many people felt inferior and had almost no contact or communication with outsiders. Most of them were unemployed and had unstable incomes, causing many difficulties for the management and facilitation of CHXAPT people to reintegrate into the community by the functional forces and local authorities.
Based on that reality, in order for those who have returned to their locality to live and reintegrate into the community and have a normal life, recently, the police force of Tuan Dao commune has coordinated with local departments, branches and organizations to regularly care for, be close to, visit and encourage those who have returned to their hometown so that they can gradually eliminate their feelings of guilt, constantly try and strive to become good citizens.
As in the case of Bui Van Th. in Moi Moi hamlet, after serving a 12-month prison sentence for intentional injury sentenced by the People's Court of Lac Son district, in the early days after CHXAPT returned to his locality, Th. isolated himself, barely communicating with anyone. After being propagandized and encouraged by the commune police officers and local sectors and organizations, Bui Van Th. gradually eliminated his inferiority complex and reintegrated into the community. Up to now, not only has he made progress in his life, Bui Van Th. has also done many meaningful things such as propagating and deterring bad teenagers in the hamlet and commune, promptly preventing fights and quarrels to avoid bad consequences.
Like Bui Van Th., after 24 months of serving a prison sentence for intentionally causing injury by the People's Court of Lac Son district, Bui Van L., also in Moi Moi hamlet, always takes the verdict and strict punishment of the law for himself as a lesson to warn bad teenagers who have signs of violating the law in the hamlet. Talking to us, Bui Van L. shared: After months of serving a prison sentence, I realized the mistakes and rash mistakes of youth. From my lesson, I hope that no one, no young person in the hamlet or commune will fall into such a trap and pay such a high price.
Major Bui Van Khuong added: In fact, many people after returning to their hometowns from the CHXAPT were promptly encouraged by officers and soldiers of the Commune Police and local sectors and organizations, thereby determining good thinking, gradually eliminating inferiority complexes, self-consciousness, and guilt to reintegrate into the community. However, there are also cases of inferiority complexes, always hiding, or returning to their hometowns to live for a while, unable to find stable jobs, they left to work far away. Therefore, the work of propaganda, mobilization, helping, and supporting them to reintegrate into the community still has difficulties. The Commune Police force is focusing on advising local Party committees, authorities, and sectors and organizations to coordinate and join hands to help CHXAPT people returning to their hometowns no longer have inferiority complexes, self-consciousness, and self-consciousness to reintegrate into the community, participating in maintaining security, social order and safety in the locality.
