Nhu Xuan: Signing a commitment to complete the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses

Conference overview.

In the past time, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the drastic participation of the entire political system, the active participation of people and the business community in the district in organizing the implementation and supporting funding for housing for poor households living in temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, the progress of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district has achieved clear results. The need for support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Nhu Xuan district is 272 households/households; of which 259 are newly built houses and 13 are repaired. The total budget received through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district from 2024 to May 10, 2025 (provincial, district and communal levels) is 18,239 billion VND. Of which: The budget allocated by the provincial level to the district is 13,235 billion VND; Funds mobilized by the district Fatherland Front for donations are 5,004 billion VND; funds from the 5% savings source for regular expenditure in 2024 are 518 million VND.

Results of the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Nhu Xuan district in 2024 - 2025, as of May 10, 2025, construction has started on 258 houses; 169 houses have been completed; 186 houses have been funded; and 14 houses have not yet started construction.

At the conference, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process were raised, including the review and supplement of information on beneficiaries of house construction support in communes and towns, which still had some obstacles that needed to be further directed and resolved. Mobilization among households in communes and towns was still slow, ineffective, and support mobilization had not yet achieved the assigned plan.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Luong Thi Hoa, Secretary of the District Party Committee, commended and recognized a number of units that have been active in the policy of building houses for poor households, actively propagating and mobilizing support funds and starting construction of houses for poor households. Currently, 14/16 communes and towns have completed the plan to start construction of houses according to Directive No. 22-CT/TW. On the afternoon of May 12, 2025, Nhu Xuan district will simultaneously start construction of houses for poor households in the remaining 2 communes (Thanh Quan, Xuan Binh). Units and localities are required to submit funds to support the construction of houses for poor households to the District Fatherland Front Committee before May 30, 2025. Comrades, members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, members of the District Party Committee, members of the Steering Committee of the Movement to support housing for poor households in the district strengthen leadership, direction and inspection of housing construction support according to the assigned units.

Request the Party Committees of communes and towns to seriously implement, not to delay or avoid responsibility in organizing the implementation of the Campaign; regularly report the implementation results to the member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee in charge of the area; promptly advise and propose solutions to handle arising issues. The Party Committee Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns are responsible to the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee for the progress, quality and effectiveness of implementation in the locality.

At the conference, with the highest political determination and sense of responsibility, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee signed with the Secretaries of the communes and towns a commitment to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; committed to completing the support of funding to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the district according to the set goals, plans and progress.
