Announcing the results and awarding prizes of the Literature and Art Composition Contest about Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of May 27, at the City Theater Square, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to announce the results and award the prizes of the Literature and Art Composition Contest (songs and stage scripts) about Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem. This is an activity in a series of practical events towards the 450th anniversary of the death of the cultural celebrity Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem (1585-2035) and in the process of proposing UNESCO to honor him as a World Cultural Celebrity. Attending the announcement ceremony were representatives of the leaders of the city's departments, branches and sectors and localities of Vinh Bao district; authors with works in the competition, along with a large number of people and audiences who love culture and art.

Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem is an outstanding national figure – a politician , teacher, poet and prophet. The literary and artistic writing contest about Trang Trinh is a meaningful activity to widely spread his ideological, moral and timeless vision to the public, and at the same time contribute more materials to serve the construction of the dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition.

The contest was launched from January 2024 to October 2024, attracting 84 entries in 3 categories: songs, Cheo scripts and drama scripts. The entries demonstrate the dedication, creativity and deep affection of the artists for Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem, reflecting his great contributions to the country and people in many ways. After an objective and impartial evaluation process, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 9 best entries to award prizes, including: 03 First prizes, 03 Second prizes and 03 Third prizes.
