Unbelievable match schedule for Arsenal and Crystal Palace announced

According to the schedule, the quarter-finals of the English League Cup will be held on December 16 and 17. However, the quarter-final match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace was announced to take place a week later.

The reason the organizers want to reduce the match schedule for Crystal Palace when they have to participate in the UEFA Conference. If they have to play the scheduled quarter-finals, Crystal Palace will play 4 matches in different arenas in 8 days from December 11 to December 18.

However, the postponement of the quarter-final between Arsenal and Crystal Palace only makes things a little better. Crystal Palace will play four games in 10 days from December 18 to December 28, including two games against Leeds (Premier League) and Arsenal (Federation Cup quarter-final) two days apart.

Similarly, Arsenal will also play 4 matches in 10 days from December 21 to December 31. Of which, the "gunners" will have 2 matches against Everton (Premier League) and Crystal Palace (English League Cup quarter-finals) 2 days apart.

It can be seen that the decision of the English League Cup organizing committee is somewhat disadvantageous to Arsenal because according to the old schedule they only play 3 matches in this period.

Manager Mikel Arteta responded immediately, saying the decision to postpone the League Cup quarter-final between Arsenal and Crystal Palace was "unfair". The Spanish strategist called for "fair treatment of all teams".
