Opening of new double-decker bus route passing through architectural icons of Ho Chi Minh City, free for 3 days

The double-decker bus route themed 'Saigon Cultural Heritage' officially launched, bringing a new journey and a free experience opportunity from November 11 to 13.

On November 4, Viet Bigbus Tourism and Media Transport Joint Stock Company officially opened the Saigon - Tan Dinh open-top double-decker bus route.

Inspired by the popular hop-on hop-off model in the world , the bus route with the theme "Saigon Cultural Heritage" aims to bring to residents and visitors a new experience journey: admiring the city from a different perspective, where modern life blends with the unique heritage of the more than 300-year-old city.

The journey passes through many iconic buildings of Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Hue Walking Street, City Theater, Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, City Post Office , Tan Dinh Market, Bach Dang Wharf, Ba Son Bridge, Zoo, Ong Ba Chieu Mausoleum... with a total of 14 stops.

On the bus, passengers are equipped with multilingual automatic commentary headphones, electronic screens, free wifi, mineral water and candy served throughout the journey.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hoa, Director of Viet Bigbus Company, said that with this bus route, the company wishes to accompany the tourism industry of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of building the image of a smart tourist city in the period of 2026 - 2030, contributing to spreading love for the city and honoring Vietnamese cultural heritage.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Deputy Head of Transport Management Department - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, said this is the 5th open-top double-decker bus route in the city.

"We expect that the operation of the Saigon - Tan Dinh route will create more attractive tourism products, contributing to promoting urban tourism development," he said, while encouraging businesses to continue expanding routes to areas of the new Ho Chi Minh City such as Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

On the occasion of the opening and celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, Viet Bigbus launched a 0 VND program - free experience for 3 days, from November 11 to 13.

The route departs at 133 Nguyen Hue, operating from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.

After the promotional period, the starting ticket price is 145,000 VND/trip.
