On the morning of December 24, the Provincial People's Committee held the Ceremony to Announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, and to Start the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project.
Attending the conference were Politburo member, President Vo Van Thuong; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the President's Office Le Khanh Hai, along with leaders of ministries, central agencies and leaders of several provinces and cities in the country.

The planning of Quang Ngai province for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1456/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2023. The planning of the province reflects "new thinking, new vision", consistent and synchronous with the development orientation and vision of the country. Quang Ngai chooses to harmoniously develop the three pillars of " economy - society - environment", placing "enterprises and people as the center and main driving force of development"; considering "investment and development of education and training as the foundation that contributes significantly to improving and ensuring labor quality for the needs of sustainable and long-term development".
The provincial planning has shaped the space and development vision expressed through the structure: 2 Dynamic Growth Centers, 3 Urban Centers, 4 strategic economic corridors and 6 dynamic economic space regions. This is considered the structure of balanced development, linkage and mutual support between mountainous, midland, coastal and island regions, between urban and rural areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh emphasized that the Prime Minister's approval of the Quang Ngai Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, is of great significance; it helps the province organize management, orientation, and control of investment activities and is the foundation for promoting sustainable development in the coming period.
However, the approval of the planning is only the initial result. To concretize and realize the Provincial Planning, there is still much work to be done, requiring the province to make great efforts and high determination. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to urgently develop a plan to implement the Provincial Planning to submit to the Prime Minister for approval. In particular, clearly define the roadmap and resources for implementing the planning; identify and select investment in projects with connectivity and diffusion to complete the infrastructure system, expand and shape the development space.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha praised the efforts of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Quang Ngai province to achieve outstanding achievements over the past period.
Quang Ngai is located in the key economic region of the Central region, has an important strategic position and a synchronous transportation system connecting the North - South and East - West with the Central Highlands provinces and southern Laos. The province needs to have specific solutions to implement the Provincial Planning; take advantage of the potential and advantages of the province for comprehensive development.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha believes that with the local potential and advantages, along with the consensus and determination of the entire political system and people, Quang Ngai will become the leading developed locality in the North Central and Central Coast regions in the near future.

Contributing to enhancing the position of the locality, realizing the goal of making Quang Ngai develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a fairly developed province in the Central region and the whole country.

Within the framework of the ceremony, the central and provincial leaders performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project. This is one of the specific projects of the Provincial Planning and is the largest-scale road traffic project ever decided to be invested by the province, with a total length of 26.8km and a total investment of 3,500 billion VND.
