With the milestone of Hanoi University of Science and Technology becoming Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son assessed this as a mark of development. The word "school" and the word "university", although just words, have a huge difference and show a choice of development model in accordance with the provisions of the law.

"Changing a name is not quick and easy, in fact it took several years. But changing a model, an orientation, from choice to full and effective operation is a long way. Bach Khoa University needs to determine its innovation path, the path to innovation of the entire university entity is just beginning.

A university operating under a new model, with an advanced management model, a digital university, that transformation needs to be carried out simultaneously and synchronously, and it is necessary to see all the challenges that lie ahead. The transformation of the model from a university to a university is not and should not be avoided as a trend, but must be seen as a tool to liberate creativity from within, a solution for creative capacities with a new mechanism. Otherwise, the change will have very little meaning" - Minister Nguyen Kim Son emphasized.

According to the Minister of Education and Training, the Council needs to be improved in the near future because the Council of a school and the Council of a multi-level university are different. There needs to be adjustments to have the participation and representation of member units, schools and subordinate units.

Therefore, Hanoi University of Science and Technology still has a lot of work to do to perfect the multi-level university structure with a tight structure of modern governance. It is necessary to perfect the strategy and long-term development orientation, perfect the organization and operation regulations... The university model is a suitable model to implement a multi-disciplinary structure. Hanoi University of Science and Technology needs to determine its path of innovation.

The head of the Ministry of Education and Training also emphasized that the University of Science and Technology must take the lead in implementing autonomy. The university must be fully autonomous, deeply autonomous, autonomous in a new stage, both in accordance with international practices and in accordance with the political , social, economic, human and cultural characteristics of Vietnam.
