Attending the workshop were Mr. Vuong Hai Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment and representatives of provincial departments, Tra Vinh University, School of Politics and representatives of leaders of districts, towns and cities.
Night-time economic development project, phase 2024 - 2025, to form 02 - 03 night-time entertainment complexes; develop at least 01 unique night-time entertainment, cultural and artistic product; form 02 - 03 unique tours and tourist routes combining day and night tourism,... Phase 2026 - 2030, by 2030, to form 06 - 07 night-time entertainment complexes; develop at least 01 entertainment, cultural and artistic product; form 02 - 03 tours and tourist routes,... Total investment capital for infrastructure to develop the night-time economy in the province is 1,554 billion VND.
Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Night-time Economy Development Project, presented the potential and strengths of the Project.
Implementation roadmap, phase 1 (until 2025): Tra Vinh city night-time economic center; Khmer ethnic culinary area; shopping streets, Tra Vinh city; night-time economic complex, Duyen Hai town walking street; night-time economic center of Cau Ke, Tieu Can, Cang Long, Chau Thanh districts. Including pilot calling for investment in night-time economic development in Tra Vinh city in 2030.
Comrade Nguyen Van Lieu, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh City People's Committee, commented on the upcoming orientation of updating each project to include it in the investment call list.
Phase 2 (2026 - 2030), expanding the shopping street in Tra Vinh city, night market and culinary area (Cau Ngang district); visiting and experiencing Duc My craft village, Cang Long district; night economic center and Khmer ethnic cultural space in Tra Cu district; Cau Quan town culinary area; night economic complex in Hoa Minh commune center, Chau Thanh district; culinary, entertainment and recreation complex, Duyen Hai town; Song Loc commune night market, Chau Thanh district; culinary area, night market in Duyen Hai district.
Comrade Cao Thi Hong Gam, Vice Chairman of Duyen Hai Town People's Committee, suggested early allocation of capital to form a night-time economic complex at Ward 2 seafood market.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Vuong Hai Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, emphasized: The project on night-time economic development aims to maximize opportunities for economic development, improve people's income and living standards, and orient, set goals and solutions to promote night-time economic development in the province by 2030. At the same time, it limits risks and negative impacts on political security and social order and safety, aiming for Tra Vinh to be "a leading province in the Mekong Delta region by 2030" and realize the goal of making tourism a spearhead economic sector of Tra Vinh by 2030.

Up to now, the Project has been completed and approved in Decision No. 1793/QD-UBND, dated November 22, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee. The Project sets out the general goal of forming and investing in developing night-time economic activities with potential and strengths of the province to promote the strong development of the tourism industry to truly become a spearhead economic sector. Thereby, spreading the development of other economic sectors; further accelerating the growth and development of the trade and service sector, actively contributing to the process of economic restructuring; improving people's income and life.
