LACK OF CONNECTION WITH TOURISTS
The hotline to receive feedback from tourists is a popular model, bringing practical results in localities with developed tourism. The establishment of this model has created a reliable address for tourists when traveling to a locality. For example, Da Nang City has established a Tourism Rapid Response Team and a Tourist Support Center that are highly appreciated by domestic and foreign tourists. These units have contributed to building the image of a hospitable locality through consulting and assisting with information related to the trip; receiving and promptly handling tourists' feedback on the quality of tourism services, etc.
In Bac Lieu, the tourist support phone number has been announced by the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on the website https://dulich.baclieu.gov.vn/. In addition to direct contact, tourists can also leave reviews on tourism issues such as: price, service quality, service attitude, cuisine, etc.
However, the hotline is a landline number, so the Center's reception and support activities for tourists have not been effective in the past. Specifically, tourists cannot contact this phone number on weekends because there is no one on duty, so the connection between tourists and the state management agency for tourism is not regular. There are many cases where tourists express dissatisfaction and frustration with tourism services in Bac Lieu, but instead of exchanging and providing information to the authorities for appropriate handling, many tourists choose to post on social networks, which has more or less affected the image of tourism in the province.
ESTABLISHMENT OF TOURIST SUPPORT CENTER
Implementing the tourism stimulus program “Vietnam - Go to love”, the National Tourism Administration has just directed provinces and cities nationwide to strengthen the management of the tourism environment, ensuring security and safety for tourists. One of the tasks emphasized is to establish a tourist support center, including setting up a hotline, building a mechanism to receive and handle tourists' feedback. At the same time, increasing the provision of information about local services to visitors on electronic information portals, digital platforms and tourism promotion publications.
In the increasingly fierce competition, Bac Lieu tourism needs to soon establish a tourism support center to increase tourist satisfaction. Along with that, it is necessary to promote digital transformation to create applications to receive tourists' feedback on all tourism-related issues such as: counterfeit goods, poor quality goods; selling at the wrong price, wrong quantity; environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety; security and order at tourist destinations...
From the experience of tourism development in many localities, Bac Lieu needs to pay more attention to supporting information and receiving feedback from tourists. In particular, timely handling of tourists' feedback will contribute to protecting the rights, creating trust and impression for tourists and contributing to building a friendly and safe tourism environment to attract investment in tourism.
