On October 29, Mr. Vo Tan Duc - Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant units to organize extraordinary rewards for construction contractors who met and exceeded the schedule to ensure the project was completed and technically opened to traffic before December 19.

Of these, 3 units have exceeded the schedule, including: Lizen Company; 368 Construction Company and Cuong Thuan IDICO Company. Lizen is the leading unit of the consortium of package 21, which has had many initiatives in applying new technology, proactively sourcing materials, and increasing construction machinery and equipment to work overtime.
Breakthrough progress thanks to modern technology
According to Mr. Ninh The Thuong - Director of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Management Board of Lizen Joint Stock Company, the project has very high requirements in terms of technology, quality and progress. During the construction process, the unit encountered many difficulties in terms of slow site clearance, scarce material sources and unfavorable weather.
“It is these difficulties that force us to change our construction mindset, to use science and technology as the 'key' to speed up and ensure quality,” said Mr. Thuong.

On the construction site, the unit synchronizes modern German equipment lines. In particular, the VÖGELE asphalt concrete paver is equipped with a multi-point sensor that automatically adjusts the slope and thickness, helping the road surface achieve international standard flatness.
HAMM vibratory rollers precisely control compaction force, ensuring the tightness and uniformity of the foundation and subgrade structure. WIRTGEN aggregate spreaders have a spreading width of up to 9.5 m, increasing productivity and reducing longitudinal joints.
Thanks to that, construction productivity increased by 30-40%, road surface quality met international highway standards, and at the same time reduced emissions and noise.
“Currently, our unit is almost completed, more than 7 months ahead of schedule compared to the contract, a number that clearly shows the application of modern technology in work,” Mr. Thuong shared.

Applying AI and flycam in management and monitoring
Not only stopping at mechanization, the contractor also promotes digital transformation in site management and supervision. At the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau construction site via Dong Nai, flycam equipment is used to record construction progress and status in real time.
Mr. Thuong said that all data and images from the flycam are automatically analyzed and compared by the AI system with the design model, helping engineers detect errors, make timely adjustments and significantly shorten the time.
“Previously, checking construction progress or volume mainly relied on humans, now digital technology helps everything become faster and more accurate,” shared the Project Management Board Director.
Not only is the leading contractor in construction technology innovation, but this joint venture is also a pioneer in the “Green Construction and Emission Reduction” model. Therefore, the unit has invested in equipment that meets European emission standards and officially put electric trucks into operation at construction sites.
“Although the price of each electric car is up to more than 6 billion VND, we consider this an investment for the future, because it helps reduce emissions, save energy and demonstrate a commitment to sustainable development in the future,” a Lizen representative affirmed.
Along with that, the unit also researches the use of artificial sand to replace natural sand, while increasing the reuse of materials and practicing thrift and anti-waste in all stages of construction.

According to the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway component 1 project is implementing two packages: package 18 (from Km0+000 to Km6+200) and package 21 (from Km6+200 to Km16+000).
To date, contractor Lizen has completed over 97% of the contract volume and committed to completing it this November, 7 months ahead of schedule.
“We appreciate the contractor’s efforts in completing the project on schedule while ensuring quality and safety. This is the contractor with the fastest construction progress on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway,” the Management Board representative emphasized.
