On October 30, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Copyright and Creativity Association (VCCA) launched Certiva, a platform for publishing digital creativity and copyright protection.
In the context of the digital economy boom, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese creative community is one of the issues of concern and top priority.
According to analysis from experts from the Vietnam Copyright and Creative Association (VCCA), in the context of the strong development of the digital era, through platforms, works of art have the conditions to quickly spread to audiences. However, this is also a "double-edged sword" when copyright is easily infringed, creating a big challenge in copyright protection.

Currently, copyright infringement in cyberspace is increasing in many forms, becoming more and more sophisticated and difficult to control. Cyberspace, with its cross-border nature, makes determining the place of infringement and the violator responsible for it complicated and difficult.
Therefore, VCCA has developed Certiva - a platform that provides tools for authors to register and manage copyright evidence in a safe, transparent and legally valid manner.
Mr. Bui Nguyen Hung - Chairman of VCCA said: "Certiva's mission is to empower authors and content creators with immediate self-defense rights, while opening the door to global commercialization for Vietnamese works, directly contributing to the sustainable development of the country's creative industries and cultural industries."

Certiva is positioned as a complementary tool to other forms of creative publication such as: copyright registration at state management agencies, notarization, certification or authentication by any organization. This platform is not only a protection tool but also a bridge to commercialize works, thereby contributing to building a transparent intellectual property ecosystem and promoting the development of cultural industries in Vietnam.
Sharing at the launch, Ms. Ngo Thu Phuong - Director of Literature Publishing House (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) affirmed: "The launch of the Certiva platform is a positive signal, contributing to more firmly protecting copyright on digital platforms. In addition to literature, other artistic works such as music , cinema, as well as creative products from KOLs will all be more strictly protected in terms of copyright".

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee, Certiva will issue each registered work with a unique, recognized electronic copyright certificate. Based on the certificate, it is easy to verify copyright and prove legal ownership when needed.
The Certiva platform protects copyright with the “three immutables” that combine international standards and compliance with Vietnamese law: Cryptographic Fingerprint, Certified Timestamp and Public Blockchain Ledger. The digital fingerprint of the work will be recorded permanently on the public “blockchain” network (digital ledger) – thereby ensuring that the records and works cannot be modified or deleted.
