Processing and manufacturing industry is shifting positively.

On November 16, 2020, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01-NQ/TU on rapid and sustainable development of CNCBCT in the 2020-2025 period, with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, Quang Ninh set a target that by 2025, the CNCBCT industry will account for over 15% of GRDP; the average value-added growth rate will be 17%/year; total investment capital will be attracted to over 50,000 billion VND; and at least 30,000 new jobs will be created. By 2030, the CNCBCT industry will account for 20% of GRDP; the average value-added growth rate will be 20%/year; total investment capital will be attracted to over 100,000 billion VND; and over 50,000 new jobs will be created.

The Resolution sets out specific solutions: Rapid and sustainable development of economic zones and industrial parks to create a driving force to attract investment and develop CNCBCT; mobilize all resources to focus on completing a synchronous and modern technical and social infrastructure system to ensure connectivity and comprehensiveness to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable CNCBCT development...

Step by step realizing the goals, with many resources, Quang Ninh focuses on investing in completing infrastructure to attract investment, create conditions for enterprises to develop production, ensure trade of goods, in which transport infrastructure is always identified as the key to development. The province has implemented a series of driving projects to shorten the distance between localities, strengthen regional connectivity, promote socio -economic development, such as: Ha Long - Hai Phong Expressway, Ha Long - Van Don Expressway, Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway, Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road... Along with that, infrastructure in industrial parks and economic zones is invested in synchronously, completed and modernized.

To attract investment, Quang Ninh has promoted administrative reform and accelerated the progress of land acquisition and clearance for projects. The province has established a provincial investment promotion working group to direct the approach, promotion, and removal of obstacles for major projects, the driving force of the CNCBCT industry researched by domestic and foreign strategic investors; focusing on selectively attracting quality FDI projects into CNCBCT industries; developing ecological industrial parks, specialized industrial parks, and reducing general industrial parks. At the same time, regular meetings, contacts, and work with businesses and investors are held to promptly remove obstacles.

On average, over the past 2 years, the growth rate of the CNCBCT industry reached nearly 19%, with a total investment capital of over 32,976 billion VND, and a total number of employees increasing to about 9,200 people. In the first 6 months of 2023, the total investment capital reached 44,017 billion VND; foreign direct investment (FDI) capital was nearly 832 million USD, reaching 83% of the resolution target of the Provincial Party Committee, 63% of the plan of the Provincial People's Committee; 17 FDI projects were newly granted investment certificates, 2.5 times higher than the same period last year, mainly in the CNCBCT field. Of which, there are 2 large-scale projects with an investment capital of 100 million USD: Project to produce safety products for cars of Antoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Project to produce locks, pins and Boltun forming stamping of Taiwanese investors. In the first 6 months of 2023, the CNCBCT industry grew by 12.57%, accounting for 11.6% of the province's GRDP.

Projects in the CNCBCT sector have been actively invested by investors in building technical infrastructure and production. Typically, Vietnam Knitted Fashion Company Limited produces knitted fabrics; Tonly Vietnam Electronics Company Limited has a new product, a smart bracelet... Notably, 8/14 main processed and manufactured products have met and exceeded the scenario.

With long-term development orientations, the province's CNCBCT industry is expected to achieve strong growth in the coming time, making an important contribution to the overall growth results of the whole province.
