Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam emphasized that the cultural industry not only contributes to improving spiritual life but is also an important resource to promote economic development. In that spirit, the workshop is where delegates assess the current situation, identify challenges and propose specific solutions to turn the cultural industry into a pillar alongside tourism , the province's spearhead economic sector. The recommendations at this forum will help the province develop appropriate policies, both preserving cultural identity and promoting competitive advantages in the tourism market.
Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son said that Resolution No. 22-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on developing cultural industry associated with tourism is a strategic step.
"We prioritize the development of the following industries: cinema, music, design, crafts, festivals... especially exploiting the heritage treasures of Hoa Lu and Trang An, combined with technology and creativity, to create unique products with high added value," emphasized Mr. Nguyen Cao Son.

In the report, the Organizing Committee affirmed that Ninh Binh possesses a special cultural and tourism ecosystem with more than 1,800 relics, including Trang An Mixed Heritage Site, the only one in Southeast Asia recognized by UNESCO. In 2024, the province welcomed 8.7 million visitors (including 1.5 million international visitors), with revenue of more than VND 9,100 billion, the highest level ever. In the first 4 months of 2025 alone, the tourism industry earned more than VND 6,000 billion.
However, the provincial leaders also frankly acknowledged the limitations: cultural tourism products still lack creativity; there is no strong enough mechanism to transform resources into attractive cultural industrial products; human resources are still weak and unprofessional. Therefore, the province really needs enthusiastic comments from experts, scientists, and artists to provide the right development orientation.

Tien Phong Newspaper will continue to accompany Ninh Binh in the process of reviving heritage values, making the cultural industry a new driving force for development.
At the end of the workshop, many breakthrough solutions were proposed: investing in creative spaces, developing craft villages into tourist destinations; applying technology in cultural performances; attracting private investment in multifunctional cultural centers; forming a startup ecosystem in the cultural field.
The workshop not only opened up a new vision for Ninh Binh's development strategy, but also contributed to realizing the aspiration of turning Ninh Binh into a "Millennium Heritage City" by 2035, an international-class cultural and tourism center.
