On the afternoon of May 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province held a conference to review the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development in Long An province in 2024, the period 2023 - 2025 according to the joint plan between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Long An Provincial Youth Union.

After 1 year of implementation, the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development has had many improvements.

Accordingly, in 2024, Long An will welcome about 2,010,000 visitors, double the same period, up 54% compared to the plan; of which, 340,000 visitors will visit and participate in festivals at historical and cultural relics, especially for museums and historical and cultural relics managed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, about 247 delegations with 31,200 visitors will come to visit (mainly union members, youth, students).

The total number of students participating in activities to care for, preserve, restore and promote the value of historical and cultural relics is more than 4,100 classes, with nearly 127,000 participants.

Vice Chairman of Tan An City People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Sang contributed ideas on the restoration of historical and cultural relics and orientation for the development of river tourism.

At the conference, representatives of leaders of districts, towns and cities exchanged and contributed ideas to remove difficulties and obstacles mainly in the restoration of historical and cultural relics in the province; at the same time, proposed plans to promote the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development.

Preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics associated with tourism development is considered a practical activity, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 51 of the Provincial Party Committee on building and developing culture and people of Long An./.
