More than 849,000 candidates registered for university and college admission

According to quick statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), as of 5 p.m. on July 28, the whole country had 849,544 candidates registering for university and college entrance exams, accounting for about 73.23% of the total 1,160,033 candidates taking the high school graduation exam.

The total number of registered admission wishes is 7,615,560, equivalent to 8.96 wishes/candidate. Compared to 2024, the number of registered candidates increased by 115,892. This increase is partly due to the addition of a group of candidates registering for vocational colleges (194 schools nationwide). The Ministry of Education and Training said that the registration system is operating stably, although there are still some candidates submitting admission information close to the deadline, so the data is still being processed.
