On the afternoon of July 24, at the Ho Chi Minh City socio -economic press conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports shared important information about the arrest of designer Nguyen Cong Tri for drug-related crimes as well as the recent "legal troubles" of many famous artists.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi affirmed that an artist who violates the law will certainly be handled according to regulations.
According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a Code of Conduct for people working in the arts. The goal of this code is to guide artists - especially famous people - to behave in a cultured and standard manner, especially in cyberspace.

However, Mr. Hoi also noted that these codes cannot replace the law but only serve as guidelines, encouraging artists to behave properly within the framework of current regulations.
On July 23, the news that designer Nguyen Cong Tri was arrested for drug use shocked the public. He is a prominent name in the Vietnamese fashion industry, having designed for many famous stars at home and abroad.
This incident once again raises concerns about the deviation in the lifestyle of celebrities, while affirming the consistent viewpoint of the authorities: before the law, all citizens are equal, without exception.
