At the regular press conference on the socio -economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of July 24, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, answered a question about the arrest of fashion designer Nguyen Cong Tri for his involvement in a drug trafficking and illegal drug use ring.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi affirmed that celebrities and artists are all citizens. When they violate the law, they will certainly be dealt with according to regulations. According to the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a code of conduct for those working in the arts. "This code of conduct aims to guide, encourage, and advise artists to behave in a cultured and proper manner. And when they violate the law, everyone will be dealt with according to regulations like any other citizen," the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports stated.
