On the afternoon of December 15th, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Tan Hiep Ward Police, sealed off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire at Itree Furniture Co., Ltd. (Ba Tri Hamlet). Fire trucks remained on standby at the scene to prevent the fire from reigniting.

At the scene, over 1,500 square meters of the factory building, along with much of the machinery and equipment inside the woodworking shop, were completely destroyed by fire and collapsed. Inside the factory, many raw materials (mainly wood), finished and semi-finished products (wardrobes, beds, tables, chairs) were burned, causing significant damage. According to initial information, the fire did not cause any casualties, as it occurred before the workers arrived at the company.

The fire broke out at 5:30 AM on the same day. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched the Firefighting and Rescue Team of Zone 32 in coordination with the specialized firefighting team of Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park, along with equipment and dozens of officers and soldiers, to the scene to contain the fire. However, because the materials stored in the company were mainly wood, cardboard boxes, and foam mattresses, the flames spread rapidly, creating a column of smoke tens of meters high.
