
On the afternoon of December 15th, at the Dong Thanh Commune Political Center, the National Assembly Delegation of Constituency No. 10, Ho Chi Minh City, held a meeting with constituents to announce the results of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly. The meeting was conducted online with a videoconference at the Tan An Hoi Commune People's Committee Hall.
Attending the conference were National Assembly deputies: former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and former Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Nguyen Thi Le; former Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, Major General Phan Van Xung; and voters from 11 communes: An Nhon Tay, Thai My, Nhuan Duc, Tan An Hoi, Cu Chi, Phu Hoa Dong, Binh My, Hoc Mon, Ba Diem, Xuan Thoi Son, and Dong Thanh.
Many important results

At the conference, National Assembly representative Phan Van Xung, from constituency No. 10 of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, reported to the voters on the results of the Tenth Session.
According to National Assembly Deputy Phan Van Xung, after 40 days of continuous, urgent, and serious work with a scientific, innovative, and highly responsible spirit, the Tenth Session was successfully concluded, completing all the planned content and programs. The National Assembly reviewed and passed 51 laws and 8 normative legal resolutions; and conducted a review of the work of state agencies during the 2021-2026 term.

The National Assembly has passed laws and resolutions related to education, such as: the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; the Law on Higher Education; the Law on Vocational Education; the National Assembly Resolution on some specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies to achieve breakthroughs in education and training development; and the National Assembly Resolution approving the investment policy for the National Target Program on modernization and improvement of the quality of education and training for the period 2026-2035.

Therefore, the aim is to create a complete legal basis for perfecting the legal framework of the national education system and creating breakthroughs in education and training; promoting decentralization and delegation of power; removing institutional bottlenecks, and developing higher education into a center for training high-quality human resources, pioneering in promoting national science, technology and innovation...

During the past term, the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation has researched and innovated its voter outreach activities to be more practical for both delegates and voters. The delegation has assigned delegates to meet with voters in other constituencies, helping National Assembly delegates in the delegation gain a more comprehensive understanding of the city's situation and the opinions and aspirations of voters, which they can then convey to the National Assembly.
Voters have requested improvements in the quality of medical examination and treatment at the grassroots level.


At the meeting, after hearing representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly delegation inform them about the outstanding results of the Tenth Session and explain the opinions of voters submitted before the session, a large number of voters were delighted with the success of the session. They also affirmed that the National Assembly's activities have concretized the Party's viewpoint that institutional reform is a "breakthrough of breakthroughs," thereby transforming institutions from bottlenecks into advantages for development.

Voters attending the conference also raised and suggested practical issues and shortcomings arising from real-life situations, as well as unresolved problems related to people's production and living conditions, such as: planning, land, urban infrastructure development, transportation, administrative procedures after mergers, education, training, social security, health insurance, etc.
From online connection points, voters in 11 communes belonging to electoral unit No. 10 also expressed their hope that the resolutions passed at the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly would soon be implemented.

Voter Nguyen Van Giau (Dong Thanh commune) reflected on the environmental pollution situation in Tran Quang Co canal. He also requested that the city consider and expedite the investment project to upgrade, build embankments, and expand the road along both banks of the canal to thoroughly address the issue, ensuring a green, clean, and beautiful living environment and protecting the health of the people.
Regarding the issue of issuing free social insurance cards to citizens, voter Phan Van Dong (Dong Thanh commune) suggested that the city and local authorities should implement solutions to scientifically and thoroughly review and compile lists of eligible beneficiaries, especially for people from other localities who come to Ho Chi Minh City to live and work.

In addition, voters in the communes also raised concerns and made suggestions to the city regarding improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people at the grassroots level; renovating and upgrading some narrow roads with high traffic volume and frequent accidents; and flood prevention and control...
After listening to the voters' opinions, the leaders of the communes and relevant departments answered some issues within their jurisdiction right at the meeting. The working group of the National Assembly Delegation fully received and recorded the voters' opinions to compile and report to the city, and at the same time forward them to the competent authorities for resolution and response.
