Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang met with voters in Dong Hoa ward, Di An.

On the morning of December 16th, at the meeting hall of the Dong Hoa Ward People's Committee, Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, along with delegates from constituency No. 12 of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, held a meeting with voters in Dong Hoa and Di An wards to announce the results of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Also present at the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies: Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan; Member of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee Le Van Kham; and Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran.

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, representing the National Assembly Delegation of Constituency No. 12, presented a summary report to the voters on the results of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly .

According to Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, after 40 consecutive working days, the Tenth Session was successfully concluded, completing all the planned content and programs. The National Assembly reviewed and passed 51 laws and 8 normative legal resolutions. In addition, it reviewed the work of the 2021-2026 term of state agencies; and considered and decided on personnel matters within its authority…

The session also reviewed reports on judicial work, anti-corruption, crime prevention and control, and violations of the law. It also considered the results of monitoring the resolution of voters' petitions, receiving citizens, handling letters and complaints, and resolving citizens' grievances and denunciations, along with several other important issues.

At this session, the volume of legislative work considered and approved by the National Assembly was very large, accounting for 30% of the total number of laws and normative legal resolutions issued during the entire term.

The National Assembly also considered and decided on matters related to socio-economic development, the state budget, investment policies for national key programs and projects, and the national master plan.

In particular, the National Assembly passed resolutions amending and supplementing several articles of Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan stated that the delegation had completed all the contents and programs of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Throughout the session, the delegation actively studied documents, participated in discussions, and contributed 257 opinions in group meetings and 168 opinions in the plenary session, focusing on major and important issues of the country and the city.

In addition, the delegation fully participated in the concluding activities of the National Assembly's committees. Simultaneously, they coordinated with city agencies to work with the National Assembly Standing Committee on the amendment and supplementation of several articles of Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15.

At the meeting, after hearing representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly delegation inform them about the outstanding results of the Tenth Session and explain the opinions of voters submitted before the session, a large number of voters were delighted with the success of the session. At the same time, they also reflected on and proposed practical issues and shortcomings from real life, and unresolved problems related to people's production and living conditions such as: planning, land, urban infrastructure development, transportation, administrative procedures after mergers, education, training, social security, etc.

After listening to the voters' opinions, the leaders of the communes and relevant departments answered some issues within their jurisdiction right at the meeting. The working group of the National Assembly Delegation fully received and recorded the voters' opinions to compile and report to the city, and at the same time forward them to the competent authorities for resolution and response.
