In 2024, Ha Giang Provincial Customs Department has made efforts and united to overcome difficulties, focusing on synchronously, drastically, promptly and effectively implementing the key tasks set out. Specifically, the total value of import and export turnover reached 508.8 million USD; nearly 228 billion VND was collected for the state budget, reaching over 146% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister . Along with that, the Provincial Customs Department has effectively implemented risk management and post-clearance inspection; proactively coordinated with functional forces to step up patrolling, controlling, fighting against smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods across the border; promoted the application of information technology, digital transformation, reforming administrative procedures and modernizing customs. Thereby contributing to shortening the time for customs clearance of import and export goods, reducing costs for businesses. Social security activities have also been carried out with interest by the Provincial Customs Department, which has called for and connected units to support hundreds of tons of cement to build rural concrete roads, and supported 200 million VND for 2 poor households to remove temporary houses.

In 2025, the Provincial Customs Department will continue to strive to collect and exceed the import-export tax collection target assigned by the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee; effectively supervise and manage import-export goods and means of entry and exit; promote the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; strengthen administrative discipline and order associated with promoting administrative procedure reform and digital transformation; be ready to organize, arrange and streamline the apparatus when directed by superiors.
