The Quartermaster Department trains units on operating self-propelled kitchen vehicles.

On May 28, the Quartermaster Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology opened a training course on the use and operation of self-propelled kitchen vehicles for units from North to South.

The training was attended by 81 trainees from 8 units. During the 3 days (from May 28 to 30), the trainees will be introduced by a group of teachers and technicians to an overview of the self-propelled kitchen vehicle and specialized equipment on the self-propelled kitchen vehicle using a powerpoint presentation.

At the same time, students were instructed on the process of deploying the kitchen vehicle; introduced to the tactical and technical features, operating principles of the cooking system, water filtration equipment, synchronous equipment and steps to handle some common situations of failure of equipment on the self-propelled kitchen vehicle.

In the practical content, students approach, get acquainted with, and operate the mobile kitchen vehicle on the road, check the stability of the vehicle and the synchronized equipment on the vehicle during the maneuver. Then, practice static cooking for the troops to approach and get acquainted with the operations of cooking equipment and related synchronized auxiliary equipment on the vehicle, and promote the effectiveness of using the kitchen vehicle.

Trainees were trained in mobile kitchen vehicles in two phases: Phase 1, receiving and training mobile kitchen vehicles from Warehouse 205 to Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province and to the Institute of Military Ordnance Research. Phase 2, training mobile kitchen vehicles from the Institute of Military Ordnance Research along National Highway 3 to Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province and vice versa.

As planned, on the afternoon of May 30, the Quartermaster Department will hand over 10 self-propelled kitchen vehicles and related documents to 8 focal points according to the decisions of the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
