Archer Le Quoc Phong attends World Cup 2025

The Vietnamese archery team will compete in the 2025 World Cup, taking place in Shanghai (China) from May 6 to 11. This is an important tournament to accumulate expertise and review forces towards major goals for the year.

According to the plan, the team will leave for China on May 4. In this tournament, the Vietnamese archery team will participate with 6 athletes including: Le Quoc Phong, Nguyen Minh Duc, Hoang Van Loc (male), Trieu Huyen Diep, Loc Thi Dao, Hoang Thi Mai (female). These are faces that have won many impressive achievements in the regional arena, notably archer Le Quoc Phong - who represented Vietnam to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Athletes competed in both single-string and triple-string bows for men and women. For the triple-string bow, Vietnam sent two representatives, Nguyen Thi Thai Chau and Duong Duy Bao. Although not a large number, these athletes are still highly regarded for their expertise and are capable of competing on the international stage.

Before the tournament, the entire team had a period of serious training and professional testing at the National High-Level Athlete Training Center. This is an important screening step to select the athletes with the most stable performance, especially in the events identified as key in 2025.

Participating in the World Cup in Shanghai not only gives Vietnamese archers the opportunity to compete with the world's top opponents, but is also a necessary practice session before the upcoming major tournaments.

In November 2025, the archery team will continue to participate in the 2025 Asian Championship held in Bangladesh - an equally fierce playground. Immediately after that, they will move to Thailand to compete at the 33rd SEA Games, where archery continues to be one of the strengths of Vietnamese sports .
