Entering the Musichouse Music Center - branch 2 on Au Co Street, Dong Ve Ward, the bustling atmosphere of summer learning immediately spread. More than a dozen students from 7 to 15 years old are diligently practicing with piano, guitar, drums... Each clear musical note resounds like a welcome to a meaningful summer. Through the glass door, Ms. Hoang Phuong, in Quang Thang Ward, watches her daughter with eyes full of pride and emotion. She shared: "Honestly, at first my husband and I were a bit hesitant because no one in the family had ever known music. But my daughter's passion for music has changed our perspective. Therefore, despite my tight cultural study schedule, I still try to arrange for my child to learn the piano 2 evenings a week. Especially during the summer, the piano lesson schedule is also enhanced so that my child can develop her abilities to the fullest."

Not only Ms. Phuong's family, this trend of raising children without imposing and respecting their interests is being applied by many young families today. Ms. Nguyen Phuong Anh, in Dong Huong ward, also decided to let her daughter participate in two swimming classes and MC skills at the same time. Ms. Phuong Anh shared: "Learning to swim is not only for physical training but also an essential survival skill. Meanwhile, learning to MC will help children develop confident communication skills and know how to express themselves naturally in front of a crowd."

This positive change was also confirmed by Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Deputy Director of Musichouse Music Center, through her teaching practice: "Every summer, the center welcomes hundreds of students of different ages. The most gratifying thing is that we witness significant changes in the psychology and temperament of the students after each course. From children who were initially shy and hesitant, they gradually become more confident, daring to step out of their comfort zone to express themselves in public through final performances."

In addition to choosing gifted classes for their children to explore and develop their personal talents, many parents have another direction - sending their children to summer camps. With the expectation that the collective living environment will not only teach children how to deal with unexpected situations that may occur in life such as fire, drowning, first aid, but also help them learn basic living skills such as cooking, laundry, and organizing their belongings.

Talking about her son's amazing change after the experience at Tan Viet survival summer camp last year, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, in Nam Ngan ward, still couldn't help but be moved: "Before, my son was very shy about communicating, always afraid of speaking in front of a crowd. However, after only one week of participating in the summer camp, he seemed to have completely transformed. He returned home with complete confidence, not only daring to express his opinions but also proactively telling the whole family about each interesting experience at the summer camp". Seeing such positive results, this year Ms. Hanh continues to let her son participate in similar activities so that he can develop more comprehensively in both life skills and personality.

Along with talent activities and summer camp experiences, the summer sports movement also attracts the attention of students. Gently wiping the sweat from his forehead after a basketball practice session, Le Huy, 14 years old in Dong Son ward, shared: "Participating in sports activities in the summer makes me feel really comfortable and happy. Unlike regular school hours when I have to sit at a desk all day, these activities help me to move freely, learn and have fun in a useful way."

However, in addition to remarkable achievements, the trend of organizing summer activities for children also poses many challenges. Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, a teacher with many years of experience, is concerned: "I have witnessed families registering their children for 5-6 different classes in one summer. The schedule is packed from morning to night, even more stressful than the official school time. This can lead to overload, making children tired and losing interest in learning."

Child psychologists also warn that summer is a time for children to rest and regain energy. If they lack free play time, children can develop a rebellious mentality, negatively affecting their mental health. Therefore, parents need to consider carefully, prioritize quality over quantity and especially listen to the opinions of their children.

From real stories in Thanh Hoa City, it can be seen that organizing summer activities for children is developing in a positive direction, contributing significantly to the comprehensive education of the young generation. However, for this trend to develop sustainably and truly bring maximum benefits to children, there needs to be synchronous coordination between families, schools and society. And, more importantly, families need to know how to make the most of their time scientifically and humanely, always putting the comprehensive development and happiness of children first.
