At the end of May 6, SJC gold bar prices were listed by SJC, PNJ, DOJI companies at VND120.2 million/tael for buying and VND122.2 million/tael for selling – down VND1.1 million compared to the morning. Gold prices cooled down after a shocking increase of VND3.5 million/tael in the morning.

Some other businesses such as Mi Hong sell SJC gold bars at a lower price, at 121.8 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold was maintained by businesses at around 115.5 million VND/tael for buying and 118 million VND/tael for selling - after increasing by 3 million VND compared to the end of yesterday.

Domestic gold prices fluctuated strongly for SJC gold bars today, increasing sharply then cooling down.

SJC gold bar price dropped another million dong at the end of the day

The price of SJC gold bars fell again at the end of the day in the context of the world gold price maintaining a high level. On the international market, the gold price today was traded at 3,379 USD/ounce, stable compared to the morning. In just 2 days, the price of precious metals on the international market increased by a total of about 120 USD/ounce (equivalent to 3.8 million VND/tael).

Gold prices are benefiting from many factors, especially the demand for gold investment as a safe haven.

Louise Street, senior market analyst at the World Gold Council (WGC), said that trade uncertainty, unpredictable policy announcements from the US, persistent geopolitical tensions and concerns about a possible return of a recession have created an uncertain environment for investors. In this context, gold investment demand in the first quarter of 2025 reached its highest level since 2016. Despite the continuous increase, the gold market still has room to grow.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 106.7 million VND/tael.
