On April 9, at My Dinh 2 ward, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Nam Tu Liem district coordinated with the District Veterans Association to organize the 2025 Nam Tu Liem District Veterans Volleyball Tournament.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 139 years of International Labor Day (May 1); 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025). At the same time, the tournament also aims to promote the mass sports movement nationwide, contributing to improving the health and spirit of Veterans and People...
This year's tournament attracted more than 250 athletes from 10 men's teams and 8 women's teams from 10 wards in the district. This is also the tournament that has attracted the most athletes ever in the district's Veterans Volleyball Tournament.
According to Deputy Director of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Nam Tu Liem District Nguyen Thi Nga, the volleyball training movement in Nam Tu Liem District in general and the district's veterans in particular has always been maintained regularly over the years. To maintain the movement, there is enthusiastic and responsible participation of the Party Committee, the government, the team of officers in charge of sports of the wards, local veterans and the continuous participation of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports as well as the District Veterans Association. Although the budget for organizing sports activities is not too abundant, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of the district and the District Veterans Association always set aside a certain amount to maintain the Veterans Volleyball Tournament, creating a playground for veterans and volleyball enthusiasts in the district.
At the tournament, the matches were exciting, attractive, of high professional quality, attracting a large audience.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to My Dinh 1 football team (men's) and Cau Dien football team (women's).
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded Second prizes (male, female); Third prizes (male, female).
