According to RT, the family of former US Vice President Dick Cheney announced on November 4 that Mr. Cheney had passed away due to complications from pneumonia and cardiovascular disease.
“Richard B. Cheney, the 46th Vice President of the United States, passed away on the evening of November 3, 2025, at the age of 84. His beloved wife, Lynne, daughters Liz and Mary, and other family members were by his side as he took his last breath,” the statement said.
It is known that Mr. Cheney was the US Vice President under President George W. Bush for two terms (2001-2009). Before that, he held the role of White House Chief of Staff, a congressman representing Wyoming and US Secretary of Defense .
Mr. Cheney is considered one of the most powerful US Vice Presidents in the country's history.
Former US Vice President Cheney suffered from serious heart disease and had undergone several surgeries. He received a heart transplant in 2012.
