Details of the newly launched Lexus RZ 2026, priced from 1.2 billion VND

The 2026 Lexus RZ will focus on more features and power, higher efficiency, and the price will also increase slightly to $ 47,295.

Back in May, Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus released some initial details about the 2026 RZ electric SUV, with an improved powertrain as the highlight, offering improved power and range across the entire lineup.

There is also an expanded new product line-up with greater power, higher efficiency and improved dynamic performance, while optimization of the battery system increases operating range and reduces charging times.

The 2026 Lexus RZ electric compact luxury SUV lineup includes the 350e and 350e Premium, along with the 450e AWD, 450e AWD Premium and Luxury. There's also a 550e F Sport AWD. The new RZ 550e F Sport AWD features Lexus' first virtual manual shift system (M mode), which is aimed at providing an "engaging driving experience."

So the RZ lineup currently on sale comes in three different powertrain options: 221 horsepower for the front-wheel-drive RZ 350e, 308 horsepower for the RZ 450e AWD variants, and no less than 402 horsepower for the RZ 550e F Sport AWD, which is pretty much ready to challenge the larger Tesla Model Y Performance.

Additionally, RZ 450e AWD models are equipped with a new dealer-installed performance upgrade that increases output to 375 horsepower, cuts the 0-60 mph time to 4.3 seconds, and costs just $1,750, excluding destination.

The 2026 RZ is assembled at the Motomachi plant in Japan and goes on sale this month alongside a number of initiatives aimed at benefiting Lexus RZ battery electric vehicle (BEV) owners, including the 2023-2025 models and the new, improved 2026 models.

More specifically, Lexus RZ owners will have access to a significantly expanded DC fast charger network, new plug-and-charge capabilities, and Apple Maps intelligent EV routing on the Lexus Interface multimedia system, enhancing route guidance with intuitive, real-time information.

Along with other DC fast charging networks such as Ionna, ChargePoint, and EVgo, the Lexus RZ will have access to the Tesla Supercharger Network. The 2026 Lexus BEV will be compatible with the North American Charging System (NACS) SAE J3400. Additionally, Lexus RZ drivers from the 2023-2025 model years will receive a free NACS charging adapter through their dealership.

At the same time, all 2026 Lexus BEVs will be equipped with a standard adapter to allow backward compatibility with SAE J1772 charging stations and the Combined Charging System (CCS), providing even more convenience and flexibility. “We always put the Lexus customer first in everything we do,” said Shawn Domeracki, vice president of sales and dealer development for Lexus.

The Lexus RZ 2026 luxury electric SUV will officially go on sale at dealerships nationwide this month, with a starting price of $47,295 (equivalent to VND 1.2 billion). It is predicted that this model will soon arrive in Vietnam.
