In the clip, the former Newcastle star shows off his guitar playing skills in the middle of a street in Newcastle, England. The former player shows off his vocals with the song "En la Orilla de mi Cama" by the Argentine band, La Contra.
Gutierrez spent most of his playing career in Newcastle and has a soft spot for the city. He wrote on Instagram: "My city, my home. I love this city. I love the people here. Thank you for everything, Newcastle. It's a dream come true to play guitar here."
During his playing career, Gutierrez made 111 La Liga appearances for Mallorca and 140 Premier League appearances for Newcastle. He also made 21 appearances for the Argentina national team. Gutierrez was part of Newcastle's Championship-winning side in 2009/10.
Gutierrez was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the end of the 2012/13 season. In October 2013, the 31-year-old midfielder underwent surgery in Argentina. Gutierrez spent a long time focusing on treatment and limited his playing time.
In January 2015, Gutierrez returned to play for Newcastle U21 for the first time against Bolton, scoring a long-range goal in a 1–1 draw.
From 2016, Gutierrez returned to Argentina to play for Defensa y Justicia and Independiente before retiring in 2021.
