On October 8, Dr. Phan Ngoc Hung, Director of An Phuoc General Hospital ( Binh Thuan Province), said that on the morning of October 6, the hospital issued a red alert for the entire hospital when it received Ms. XH (born in 1987, residing in Phan Thiet City).
Pregnant woman was hospitalized in a state of cyanosis, foaming at the mouth, cardiac arrest, and respiratory arrest.
Immediately, 25 doctors and nurses from various departments were mobilized to consult and perform emergency surgery on the pregnant woman.

With his experience in Obstetrics, Dr. Phan Ngoc Hung, Director of the hospital, made the decision and was the one who directly performed emergency surgery to save the baby right in the screening room.
After 30 minutes of emergency efforts, the 2.5 kg baby girl was successfully removed from her mother's womb and transferred to Ho Chi Minh City for special care.
"Currently, after 2 days, the mother's health has stabilized. This woman is still being cared for in the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department, showing signs of being awake. As for the baby, after being transferred to Ho Chi Minh City, he has become more seriously ill, showing bad signs," said Dr. Phan Ngoc Hung.
