Immediately after receiving the information, Quang Ha Commune Police urgently deployed forces to coordinate with Waterway Police Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police) and local people to organize a search at night.

After more than 3 hours of searching, at about 4:40 am on the same day, the joint forces discovered 2 fishermen stranded in the Co Ga - Ha Coi channel area. Through verification, it was known that the 2 victims were Ms. Phun Sam Mui (born in 1968) and Ms. Tang Sam Mui (born in 1971, both Dao ethnic group, both residing in Van Ly village, Duong Hoa commune). The two women went to catch snails at 1:30 pm on November 24, but because they did not pay attention to the rising tide, they did not make it to shore in time.
Due to the high tide of about 3.5 meters, both victims were exhausted, their health was deteriorating, and their lives were in danger. Immediately after, Quang Ha Commune Police coordinated with the Waterway Traffic Police to take the two victims and provide first aid and urgently transfer them to Mong Cai 2 Regional General Hospital for further emergency care. Currently, both victims have overcome the critical stage and their health is gradually stabilizing.
