Of these projects, EVN said that 7 projects/project parts with a total capacity of 430.22 MW have completed COD procedures and are officially allowed to generate commercial electricity to the grid. In addition, the remaining projects have also had their temporary prices approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
To date, 59/85 projects with a total capacity of 3,389.811MW have submitted documents to the Power Trading Company to negotiate electricity prices and power purchase contracts; of which 50 projects (total capacity of 2,751.611MW) proposed a temporary price equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price range (according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade).
EVN and investors have completed price negotiations and signed PPA contracts for 46/50 projects.
19 projects have been accepted by competent State management agencies for the construction/part of the construction; 27 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the entire plant/part of the plant; 22 projects have had decisions to extend investment policies.
On May 25, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a series of documents related to negotiating temporary prices to soon put renewable power plants into operation.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade requested the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) to urgently carry out many tasks to promote the progress of bringing completed power generation projects to the grid.
Specifically, for projects that have completed investment and construction work and completed legal documents according to regulations, EVN urgently negotiates with investors of solar and wind power plants to transition to temporary prices and operate electricity generation to the grid according to the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Official Dispatch No. 3184/BCT-DTĐL.
For transitional power plants whose temporary prices have been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests EVN to promptly sign power purchase contracts and review procedures to soon put power generation into operation on the grid.
For the remaining power plants, EVN will soon agree on temporary prices with investors before May 27 to submit to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for approval and proceed simultaneously with completing procedures for signing power purchase contracts.
