Agribank Ha Tinh donated 5 hemodialysis machines to Huong Son Medical Center.

(Baohatinh.vn) - 5 artificial kidney dialysis machines were donated by Agribank - Ha Tinh Branch to help patients have access to services and reduce waiting time.

On the afternoon of October 22, Huong Son Medical Center held a ceremony to receive 5 artificial kidney dialysis machines donated by Agribank - Ha Tinh Branch.

Attending the awarding ceremony were leaders of the Department of Health , Agribank - Ha Tinh Branch, and leaders of Huong Son commune.

The 5 donated hemodialysis machines were manufactured by B.Braun Avitum AG Dialog+710200 (Germany), worth 1,782,036,000 VND. After receiving them, the machines were transferred to the hemodialysis area (under the Department of Emergency Resuscitation and Anti-Poisoning, Huong Son Medical Center) to perform hemodialysis for patients.

Along with the 5 newly received machines, Huong Son Medical Center now has 17 artificial kidney dialysis machines. Every day, the hospital performs dialysis for about 34 patients. According to the current survey, the number of patients with chronic kidney failure being treated in 9 communes in Huong Son area is over 100 people, so the number of machines is not enough.

According to Dr. Le Nhat Thanh - Director of Huong Son Medical Center, in addition to the existing machines, the unit needs about 10 more artificial kidney dialysis machines to meet the demand.

In particular, Huong Son Medical Center is currently in dire need of 1 or 2 kidney filtration machines (for artificial kidney dialysis) and hopes to have sponsors to support patients to be treated at the center instead of having to be treated at Ha Tinh General Hospital.

These devices not only help the medical team improve the quality of treatment but also help patients have the opportunity to access services, reducing waiting time.

From 2020 to now, Agribank Ha Tinh has contributed more than 56.1 billion VND to social security activities in the province. Of which, nearly 24 billion VND is for the education sector, nearly 9 billion VND is sponsored in the field of health and health care for the people, the rest is for other activities such as building charity houses, overcoming the consequences of damage caused by natural disasters. In the coming time, Agribank - Ha Tinh Branch commits to continue to accompany localities in Ha Tinh in programs of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, health care, education support, and new rural construction.
