Diverse heritage experience activities at Mao Dien Temple of Literature

Many heritage education experience activities such as calligraphy, woodblock printing, performance of traditional Vietnamese costumes, re-enactment of the 'literary village'... are being held at Mao Dien Temple of Literature.

From November 15 to 30, at Mao Dien Temple of Literature, Hai Phong City Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Center organized many heritage education experience activities.

A series of activities in response to Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day November 23.

Many models participated in the show wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes and ao dai.

This is the second time the young mandarin exam has been held, recreating the "literate village" space at Mao Dien Temple of Literature.

The image of the tents and beds of the candidates going to the exam is restored and recreated in the "scholar village".

Students also got to cook "scholar rice" themselves. This was one of the many daily activities of scholars in the past when taking exams at Mao Dien Temple of Literature.

Visitors can see again the images of feudal Vietnamese examinations.

"The scholar" writes calligraphy, guides students on how to write, dissect characters, and interpret meanings.

Thanh Lieu woodblock printing space attracts many students to experience.

Students also learn about famous people, history, and life skills.

Mothers guide students in making and sewing conical hats.
