On the afternoon of August 30, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Decision No. 1780/QD-UBND to supplement targeted funding for the budgets of wards and communes to pay for gifts for people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
According to the decision, the total allocated budget is 312.29 billion VND, of which 292.31 billion VND comes from the central budget and 19.97 billion VND comes from the city budget surplus.
This fund is transferred to localities to organize gift payments (100,000 VND per person) according to the instructions of the Ministry of Finance , completed within two days, August 31 and September 1.
In case the recipient has not received it yet, or received it directly in cash, people can receive it later but no later than September 15.
Da Nang City People's Committee requires localities to return the budget if they do not use up all the funds. On the contrary, if there is a shortage, they must make an advance from their own budget to promptly pay and settle with the Department of Finance.
The city police directed the police of wards and communes to hand over the list of citizens from the National Population Database as a basis for payment. The State Treasury of Region XIII coordinated and ensured the withdrawal and disbursement of funds on schedule.
Previously, the Prime Minister issued an Official Dispatch on August 28 regarding gift giving to all people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, each person will receive 100,000 VND to celebrate Independence Day.
