Da Nang promotes high-quality Vietnamese products to consumers

DNO - On the afternoon of October 17, the Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the city held a conference to evaluate the results of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the first 9 months of 2025 and deploy tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025.

According to the report at the conference, through the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the city organized many programs, fairs, and promotional days with over 700 booths of more than 485 participating units and enterprises; supported 62 enterprises to organize domestic and international trade promotion programs.

The whole city built 45 new stores, OCOP product display points, and safe agricultural product stores; built 56 safe food supply chains with the participation of 16 businesses and 51 initial production facilities.

The city has 4 markets (Hoa Khanh, Nam O, Quang Thanh and Da Nang Supermarket) registered to build a market model that meets food safety conditions by 2025; deploying food traceability software for 4 supply chains of pork, beef, chicken and eggs.

In addition, QR codes were issued to identify 4,588 food establishments, and the locations of restaurants and eateries were updated on the city's food safety map so that consumers and tourists could know and choose.

The authorities conducted 719 inspections, handled 469 cases related to anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, collected nearly 5 billion VND for the budget; detected and handled 25 cases of administrative violations of food safety, with a total fine of nearly 600 million VND.

Commune and ward levels inspected food safety at 10,910/20,121 establishments (54.22%), administratively sanctioned 35 establishments with a fine of more than 150 million VND...

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Tri Thanh suggested that in the coming time, the member agencies of the Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the city need to continue promoting propaganda work, mobilizing people to support typical products of Da Nang city and prioritize using high-quality Vietnamese goods.

The City People's Committee directed departments, branches and sectors to review key mechanisms and policies related to product support, and promptly adjust and supplement them to suit current practical conditions.

Relevant units need to continue to organize many activities to display, introduce and promote quality Vietnamese products, local agricultural products, OCOP products, clean and safe products to a wide range of consumers.

Strengthen trade promotion for Vietnamese products domestically and internationally; policies and programs to support establishments and businesses to expand their consumption markets.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city proposed that the city should have a priority support policy for businesses producing and trading in goods bearing the Da Nang brand.

At the same time, strengthen the connection and coordination between OCOP product production units with tourism units, restaurants, and large businesses in the area to promote and consume Vietnamese products. Thereby, contributing to promoting domestic production development, stabilizing the market and protecting consumer rights.
