Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital has established a sister-city relationship with Dong Giang commune.

DNO - On December 12th, Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Dong Giang commune signed a twinning program to share experiences, coordinate resources, and support each other in the field of medical expertise, especially obstetrics and pediatrics.

According to the signed agreement, Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital will regularly support the medical staff of Dong Giang Regional Health Center in general and Dong Giang Commune Health Station in particular with training and professional development at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital as needed.

Simultaneously, coordinate the organization of surveys on the capacity, equipment, facilities, and development needs related to maternal and child health care in Dong Giang commune; organize medical examinations, health consultations, and provide free medicine to women and children in Dong Giang commune annually.

The two sides will cooperate in health communication and education on the prevention and control of acute and chronic diseases; reproductive health care, child nutrition, and environmental hygiene issues.

In addition, the two units signed a commitment to build practical and sustainable youth projects serving the community; and to coordinate the organization of cultural, artistic, and sports activities to enhance interaction, improve the physical and mental health of officials and employees, and contribute to sustainable development in Dong Giang commune.

On this occasion, 250 women and 300 underprivileged children from Dong Giang commune received examinations and consultations from doctors and nurses at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital regarding common illnesses in internal medicine, surgery, respiratory diseases, blood pressure, ultrasound, etc., and were given free medicine.

Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital donated 250 warm blankets for women and 300 warm jackets for children receiving medical examination and treatment during this period.
