The 2023 Da Nang Cashless Payment Fair takes place from December 1 to 3, 2023 with 50 booths of nearly 60 enterprises producing OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and typical products of Da Nang City and many provinces and cities across the country; along with e-commerce solution providers in Da Nang and Hanoi to display, introduce, experience, and try out products, services, and solutions on e-commerce and digital transformation.
Notably, in the OCOP product area, typical products will display, introduce, and sell OCOP products, typical products of Da Nang. In which, businesses conduct cashless purchases, organize check-in activities, promotions on e-commerce platforms, etc.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City said that e-commerce is currently an indispensable tool in the business activities of enterprises and the lives of consumers, gradually becoming one of the channels with the ability to promote strong sales, increasingly attracting users compared to traditional sales methods. With e-commerce sites, social networking applications help businesses reach customers conveniently, thereby promoting, introducing and selling products without having to spend a lot of costs and human resources; and in the opposite direction, consumers can easily choose, shop, and pay quickly and conveniently anytime, anywhere through electronic payment tools and applications. " Through the program, with the activities carried out at this event, Da Nang City hopes to contribute to better implementing the message: "cashless payment", "promoting online shopping" , Mr. Hanh said.

According to Ms. Lai Viet Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, e-commerce is affirming itself as a pillar and pioneering field of the digital economy with a growth rate of 16 - 25% in recent years. In 2023, the scale of Vietnam's retail e-commerce market is expected to reach 20.5 billion USD, accounting for about 7.8% - 8% of the country's revenue from consumer goods and services.
Ms. Viet Anh added that the National E-commerce Week and Online Shopping Day - Online Friday 2023 program has chosen Da Nang City as one of the direct connecting points to organize the event, combining the organization of the Cashless Payment Market to communicate and spread to people and businesses the conveniences, experiences, and incentives in e-commerce activities, online shopping, online payment, while conveying strong messages to protect consumers in the work of preventing and combating counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights in the online environment.
