120 intergenerational self-help clubs with more than 7,200 members have been established.

On June 20, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Association of the Elderly held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Decision 1336 dated August 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project to replicate the Intergenerational Self-Help Club model for the period 2020 - 2025 in the province.

After nearly 5 years of implementing the project, the whole province has established 120 Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs with more than 7,200 members. The clubs maintain regular monthly activities with 8 practical and diverse activities such as: Health care, support for loans to increase income, communication to raise awareness, arts - sports, protection of the rights of the elderly... Thereby, more than 1,000 elderly people have accessed loans to develop the economy and improve their lives. In addition, the clubs have helped more than 8,000 difficult cases in the community...

In the coming time, the Provincial Association of the Elderly will focus on consolidating and maintaining the effective operation of established clubs; perfecting the Executive Board, developing new members; promoting propaganda and replicating the model to qualified communes and wards. At the same time, the Association at all levels will continue to closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to mobilize social resources, enhance training, and share experiences to improve the quality of activities of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs...

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals; the Provincial Association of the Elderly awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project to replicate the model of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs.
