In preparation for the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the afternoon of April 16, 2025, National Assembly Deputies of Unit 2 of Dong Thap province, including Comrade Le Quoc Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, had a meeting with voters who are leaders of specialized agencies, Party Committees of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 18 communes and towns in Cao Lanh district.
At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa informed voters about the expected content and program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly. At this Session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; consider and approve 30 Laws and 07 Resolutions; give opinions on 06 draft Laws and consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the State budget, supervision and other important issues.
Voters of Cao Lanh district recommend that functional sectors make speed-reduction signs or speed-reduction signals to limit traffic accidents on National Highway 30; hope to have preferential policies for non-professional cadres at the commune level like at the district level; consider expanding the case of those with more than 10 years to 15 years of retirement age to enjoy the regime according to Decree No. 67; need to soon issue instructions on the time for settlement and handover of assets for the district sector so that localities can proactively implement. Voters also hope that after the merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units, there will be solutions for citizens to carry out administrative procedures with less time, finance and travel effort...
Receiving voters' opinions, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong requested that localities urgently participate in the procedures for arranging commune-level administrative units and handing over work according to regulations. Regarding the merger of commune-level units with surplus staff, the Central Government will have a roadmap for streamlining staff according to regulations. According to the Provincial Party Secretary, after merging administrative units, the province will have solutions to serve people in resolving work, without interruption; at the same time, it is requested that cadres and civil servants must digitize work. After the merger, for any procedures that local authorities require people to innovate, they should be implemented, and the remaining types of documents that do not need to be changed should be changed. The voters' recommendations were noted by National Assembly Deputies and will be sent to functional units, ministries and central branches for explanation and consideration and discussion at the upcoming National Assembly session.
