Attending the ceremony were Venerable Thich Dong Tue - Abbot of Au Lac Co Tu, representatives of local leaders, monks and nuns, and many Buddhists from near and far.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Dong Tue read the Buddha's Birthday Message 2025 - Buddhist calendar 2569 of the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Most Venerable Thich Tri Quang.
The message clearly states: History has deeply engraved the great contributions of Buddhism in the thousands of years of history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people. Buddhism has always been integrated into the flow of national culture, accompanying the country through every historical period.
Buddhism's philosophy of solidarity and tolerance has contributed to the formation of cultural identity and the spiritual strength of national solidarity. These values contribute to fostering patriotism, altruism, compassion, respect for justice, sharing and the tradition of "helping each other" of the Vietnamese people.
Solidarity is a priceless heritage, a sacred tradition of the Vietnamese people; it is the source of strength that helps the country overcome all challenges and gain glorious victories throughout history.
Vietnam - a country with a long-standing Buddhist tradition, always closely associated with the cause of national construction and development - is honored to organize the 2025 Vesak Festival in the joyful atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, reunifying the country.

Looking back on that historical journey, Vietnamese Buddhism is proud to have contributed to the heroic victory of the nation, with the immortal heart of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc and countless generations of monks, nuns and Buddhists who have devoted themselves to the ideal of peace and national liberation.
The past 50 years have been a testament to the right path of development for the Vietnamese people: the path of solidarity, tolerance, and a peaceful, happy, and prosperous society. That path is leading the country steadily into a new era – an era of prosperous development.

The Buddha's Birthday program also takes place with rituals: Buddha worship ceremony - Three Jewels Refuge ceremony; Welcoming Venerables to the altar; Buddha bathing ceremony...
