On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, on January 22, the delegation of the Lao Embassy in Australia led by Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh visited and congratulated the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia.
At the meeting, Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh wished all officers and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy a New Year of health, happiness and success.
Appreciating the socio-economic achievements that Vietnam has made in the past year, especially the stable social situation, strong economic growth with a growth rate of 7.09%, exceeding the set target, Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.
Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh also expressed his impression and congratulated the outstanding achievements in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Australia in 2024, the year the two countries upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with many important visits, notably the official visit to Australia, combined with the attendance at the Special Summit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Australia-ASEAN Dialogue Relations by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .
The Lao Ambassador highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia to the Vietnam-Australia relationship.
Ambassador Pham Hung Tam thanked Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh for his good wishes and expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Lao State led by Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith as General Secretary and President, Laos will continue to successfully implement the plan to stabilize the economy , creating a foundation for long-term prosperous development.
In the context of the world in general and each country in particular facing many instabilities and increasing challenges in geopolitics, food security, natural disasters, climate change, etc., Laos achieving a growth rate of over 4% in 2024 is a clear sign of economic recovery and development.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam also shared information about the achievements of Vietnam-Australia relations in 2024, major goals in bilateral cooperation for 2025; at the same time, expressed his wish that the two Embassies of Vietnam and Laos in Canberra will always be close and closely coordinate to contribute to promoting Vietnam-Laos relations as well as trilateral cooperation between Vietnam-Australia-Laos in the coming time.
