Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar holds funeral ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong

In the Condolence Book, representatives of the Qatari Government, Ambassadors and diplomats from many countries working in Qatar wrote emotional words of condolence.

On May 24, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar held a memorial service and opened a condolence book in memory of comrade Tran Duc Luong, former member of the Politburo and former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The funeral took place solemnly with the participation of all officials, staff of the Embassy and family, along with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Qatar.

Speaking at the memorial service, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Hiep was moved to recall the revolutionary life of comrade Tran Duc Luong - a loyal soldier of the Party, a leader who made many contributions to the country's renovation, especially in expanding foreign relations, international integration and building a socialist rule-of-law state.

On May 25 and 26, the Embassy continued to hold a memorial service and open a condolence book to welcome representatives of local government agencies, diplomatic delegations and international friends to commemorate and express condolences to the Party, State and People of Vietnam on the passing of former President Tran Duc Luong.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu, Head of the Vietnamese Community Liaison Committee in Qatar signed the condolence book.

In the Condolence Book, representatives of the Qatari Government, Ambassadors and diplomats from many countries working in Qatar wrote emotional words of condolence, expressing deep condolences to former President Tran Duc Luong; at the same time, sent sincere condolences to the Party, State, People of Vietnam and his family.

On behalf of the Government and People of Algeria, Mr. Salah Attia, Ambassador of Algeria to Qatar, wrote: “We have received information about the passing of His Excellency Tran Duc Luong - Former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - after a long journey of dedication with many brilliant achievements, as well as various contributions in high-ranking positions that he held in different periods. He contributed to glorifying the country and serving the people with all his dedication and tireless dedication. It is needless to mention that Vietnam, under the leadership of the late President, has achieved many achievements in the fields of comprehensive development and modernization, which will certainly continue to be a torch to light the way for future generations. On this occasion, I would like to send to you, the Government and people of our fraternal Vietnam, as well as the family of the late President, my most sincere condolences.
