Accompanying the people

In recent days, the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command has directed its subordinate units to coordinate with other forces to go to every alley, hamlet, school, and community center to help people stabilize their lives. The Provincial Military Command has directed the regiments stationed in the area to send officers and soldiers to promptly support people in Hoa My, Hoa Thinh, Hoa Tam, Hoa Xuan, Tay Hoa communes... and Dong Hoa, Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen wards... to clean up and wash belongings and furniture; and to dismantle collapsed walls and tiled roofs.
Colonel Le Van Hung - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command requested local units and military forces to be highly focused and resolute in handling the environment to avoid the risk of disease outbreaks. Officers and soldiers used human resources and machinery to clear inter-village, inter-commune and inter-ward roads for people to travel conveniently. The force also focused on disinfecting and sterilizing and, together with the health sector, treating water sources in residential areas.

The Provincial Border Guard force stationed in the communes and wards in the Eastern region of Dak Lak province also mobilized many units to help people in flooded areas overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives. From November 19 to 26, Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station mobilized nearly 200 officers, soldiers and many vehicles and materials to coordinate with local authorities in coastal localities to evacuate hundreds of households to safe places when floods occurred. After the floodwaters receded, soldiers participated in the general cleaning of neighborhoods, communal houses, and schools in Binh Kien, Phu Yen, and Tuy Hoa wards and helped hundreds of households clean up their houses and stabilize their lives.
In recent days, Dak Lak Provincial Police have also mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers from units to help people in the Eastern communes and wards overcome the consequences caused by floods. Officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police and Commune Police, support units and people have organized to clean up many inner-city roads and rural concrete roads; dredged many canals and sewers; and washed away hundreds of cubic meters of mud and soil left by the floods. In addition to cleaning and repairing houses for hundreds of households, the soldiers also received and resolved more than 1,000 requests for emergency support from sectors, organizations and people at the grassroots level.

Major Phung Van Cong, Deputy Company Commander (Tay Nguyen Mobile Police Regiment) shared: Despite many difficulties, each police officer and soldier has carried out activities to help people with the highest spirit and responsibility. When people are still suffering and in danger, the mission of the support force cannot stop. Hundreds of officers and soldiers work through the night to help people stabilize their lives.
After the flood, many localities in the communes in the Eastern region of Dak Lak province focused on environmental sanitation and disease prevention. Doctor Nguyen Thi Loc, Head of the Hoa Son Tay Commune Health Station (Dong Hoa Ward), said that the flood had caused heavy damage to the station's infrastructure and supplies. After the flood, in addition to cleaning mud, tables, chairs, and hospital beds, the staff sprayed chemicals to disinfect; distributed medicine and provided medical care to people to proactively prevent post-flood epidemics.

In the coming time, Dak Lak province will continue to concentrate all resources inside and outside the province to overcome the consequences of floods; in which, the top priority is to continue searching for missing people, deploying health care for people, providing emergency support for necessities and medicine; handling environmental pollution, preventing epidemics; implementing the repair of damage to infrastructure, especially traffic, schools, medical facilities; implementing policies to support people and businesses to restore production and business... to soon bring social life back to normal.
Unite to rise
After the flood, many areas in the East of Dak Lak province were flooded with mud, trees, garbage and floating objects, which washed up on houses and roads of people in Hoa Xuan, Tay Hoa, Tuy Hoa, Tuy An Bac, Tuy An Dong communes... causing many difficulties in traffic. The army and police forces, with the support of local authorities, mobilized the maximum number of troops to clean up many areas and roads for people to travel as well as deploy solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Many less affected people also joined hands to clean up with local authorities and forces. Some individuals in the village also volunteered to support charity groups to promptly deliver meaningful gifts to the people, helping them have more motivation to overcome difficulties.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hue (Hoa Xuan commune) had a relative who had just passed away due to the storm and flood. Overcoming the loss and grief of her family, she volunteered with the local people, authorities and forces to clean up roads and houses, and restore production. Ms. Hue spent a lot of time supporting charity groups to promptly deliver gifts to the disadvantaged in the locality.
In Phuoc Khanh quarter (Tuy Hoa ward), on the morning of November 27, a large amount of garbage was still left on the roads in the village. Although their houses were damaged in the recent floods, people still took the time to join hands with the local authorities to clean up the village roads and alleys. Many households that suffered little damage helped other households in the village to clean up each collapsed wall, each damaged roof, clean furniture, and collect garbage to ensure environmental sanitation.

Mr. Ngo Van Chiem (Phuoc Khanh ward) had his house completely collapsed in the recent flood. Although his current life is very difficult, he still takes the time to help people clean up the roads for safe travel. He himself strives to overcome the adversity caused by natural disasters to continue rebuilding his house. He said that the local government and some benefactors have come to help, so he is extremely excited and determined to rebuild his life.
Although life after the flood is still difficult, with the timely support of local forces and authorities and many "golden hearts" from all over the country, the people of Dak Lak province have more motivation to rise up, unite, help, and share to recover together.
