Dak Nhau firmly steps forward with the era of growth

Dak Nhau and Duong 10 were both remote communes of Binh Phuoc province (old), with a low starting point and a high rate of ethnic minority and poor households. With the great efforts and determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, both communes have reached the new rural (NTM) finish line.

Inheriting the achievements along with the potential and advantages of the new commune after the merger, the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Nhau commune are striving to bring the locality to the advanced NTM destination by 2030.

Solid foundation

Infrastructure is lacking and weak, the people's education level is limited, in which 4/13 villages are particularly difficult with more than 50% of the population being ethnic minorities. These are the main reasons why the implementation of the resolution of the Party Congress of Dak Nhau and Duong 10 communes for the 2020-2025 term has encountered many difficulties and challenges. In that context, the Party Executive Committees of the two communes have been flexible, timely in leading, directing, uniting and promoting democracy to seize opportunities and advantages; at the same time, determined and made efforts to overcome difficulties and limitations, and fulfill the targets set out in the Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term with many important results.

In the 2020-2025 term, Dak Nhau and Duong 10 communes (old) have invested hundreds of billions of VND in building rural infrastructure, electricity, roads, schools, and stations to be spacious and modern, and have completed 19/19 NTM criteria. 100% of the main roads between communes, villages, and groups are asphalted, concreted, and equipped with street lights. This is one of the impressive highlights, attracting investment, creating momentum for socio-economic development, improving people's living standards and enjoyment.

In particular, in the area of 2 communes, there are 7 schools, all of which have been invested in and built to meet national standards, and up to now, 6/7 schools have been recognized as meeting national standards level 1.

Along with that, the economic structure has shifted in the right direction, reducing the proportion of agriculture , increasing the proportion of trade - services, creating stable jobs, improving people's lives with an average income of over 80 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate has decreased sharply, especially in ethnic minority areas, currently only 0.58%/total households in the commune. Cultural values are preserved, embellished and promoted. National defense - security is firmly consolidated...

Striving for the goal of advanced new rural areas

Implementing the policy of merging commune-level administrative units, the new Dak Nhau was formed on the basis of merging the two communes of Dak Nhau and the old Road 10 with a natural area of more than 182km2 and a population of more than 23,000 people.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nhau Commune, To Hoai Nam, shared: The commune has the advantage of rich and fertile land resources, suitable for crops with high economic value such as durian, rubber, pepper, coffee, cashew and expanded development space. This is the premise and opportunity for Dak Nhau commune to promote its strengths, space and make correct decisions, in accordance with the people's wishes, striving to bring the commune to the advanced NTM destination by 2030.

According to the Draft Political Report submitted to the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee proposed 5 key tasks, 4 breakthrough areas and many practical solutions to concretize and soon put the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress into life.

“With the production land area accounting for more than 73%, we have determined to take the strength of agriculture as the premise and basis for local economic development in the coming term. In particular, the locality will gradually shift towards trade and services, while at the same time building quality agricultural products as the strength of the locality in the coming time…” - Mr. To Hoai Nam said.

Sharing the "secret" to bringing the commune to the advanced NTM finish line in the coming time, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Dak Nhau commune Nguyen Trong Lam said: "The Party Committee of the commune has specified in the Draft Documents of the 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030. In which, we focus on core contents on human resources, synchronous infrastructure investment. At the same time, the commune aims to link the region with neighboring localities, focusing on developing green, clean, sustainable and effective agriculture".
