Previously, on the afternoon of August 7, the family reported that Mr. P.D.H. (72 years old, residing in Hoa Thuong block, Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city) went fishing at sea but had not returned home by the afternoon. At the same time, people discovered a boat about 6m long drifting ashore in Tam Xuan commune (Da Nang city).

There was no one on the boat, but there was identification papers in the name of Mr. P.D.H. Suspecting that the victim was in an accident, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station sent officers and soldiers, along with local people, to search for the victim's whereabouts.
According to Major Tran Quoc Khanh, the forces organized a search through the night. However, the victim went fishing alone, making it difficult to determine the missing person's location, so as of this morning, he has not been found.

“This morning, August 8, we mobilized more canoes and 17 officers and soldiers divided into 3 search teams. One team on a canoe searched at sea, two teams went along the coast that the unit was responsible for managing,” Major Tran Quoc Khanh added.
Currently, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station is advising Quang Phu ward to mobilize more forces and vehicles to continue searching for the missing fishermen.
